This RN Cardiac Care IMC role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. The position focuses on assessing patient needs, establishing and modifying care plans, and collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs comprehensively to identify outcomes
- Establish, supervise, and modify patient care plans based on identified outcomes
- Maintain education and competencies to ensure proficient patient care practice and skills
- Incorporate evidence-based nursing practice and current regulations into care plans
- Collaborate with family and patients to set realistic and age-appropriate patient outcomes
- Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate tasks to ensure safe and effective care delivery
- Fulfill all organizational requirements
- Serve as Charge Nurse (when applicable), directing unit operations and collaborating with staff
- Serve as Preceptor (when applicable), identifying, planning, and validating orientee clinical competence
Requirements
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- 1-2 years RN experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing or WI Department of Safety & Professional Services
- Current BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Allina in-house training within 30 days of hire)
Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- 1-2 years RN experience, 0-2 years cardiac, telemetry, or critical care RN experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree
- 0 to 2 years cardiac, telemetry, or critical care RN experience
- ACLS Tier 2 required for identified units
- RN-BC Cardiac Vascular Nursing
- CCRN Critical Care RN
- CHRN Certified Heart Failure Nurse
- 1 year Tele or stepdown experience (Tier 1)
- Acute Care experience (Tier 2)
- New graduate (Tier 3)
