Retail Pharmacy Manager

About This Role

Manage an entity-owned 340B community pharmacy within a partner health center, ensuring safe and effective dispensing of prescription medications and leading clinical and dispensing services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrative and physician leadership to implement pharmacist-driven clinical and dispensing services
• Develop and implement collaborative practice agreements to drive patient medication compliance and improve provider satisfaction
• Implement best practices and ensure departmental compliance with 340B rules and regulations
• Ensure adequate staffing for the pharmacy or pharmacy department
• Maintain accurate records of all prescription medication received and dispensed
• Ensure policies are in place regarding accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions and that policies are followed
• Ensure security of the prescription area and its contents are maintained at all times
• Oversee the Pharmacy’s Continuous Quality Improvement Plan to minimize medication error rates and maximize patient safety
• Operate as “Pharmacist in Charge” of the pharmacy in accordance with Wisconsin Pharmacy law
• Maintain compliance with all Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
• 3 years pharmacy management experience
• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist license in good standing
• Immunization Certification or willing to become certified within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or PharmD
• 3 years pharmacy management experience, 4-5 years overall pharmacy experience
