About This Role

This role involves coordinating person-centered plans and active treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The supervisor will oversee direct care staff across three shifts, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with regulations within a residential home setting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate person-centered plans, active treatment, and activities for 5–10 individuals
  • Supervise direct care staff across three shifts, including scheduling, training, evaluations, and performance oversight
  • Manage staffing coverage through advanced scheduling and adjustments as needed
  • Monitor and manage staff overtime, punctuality, and leave usage
  • Provide direct supervision to staff within the home, including training, timekeeping, and evaluations
  • Ensure administrative upkeep and maintenance of the home
  • Serve as Team Lead in interdisciplinary meetings and represent residents’ needs
  • Monitor residents’ status across all disciplines, providing input and feedback
  • Communicate effectively using person-centered approaches in both verbal and written formats
  • Maintain compliance with CMS/ICF/IID regulations, facility policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse clientele including individuals with Intellectual/Developmental/Behavioral Disabilities
  • Knowledge of characteristics, behaviors and common medical conditions of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of Medicaid licensure standards
  • Skills in the development of systematic packages of programmatic and medical supports
  • Ability to facilitate a team of various professionals and paraprofessionals
  • Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning Process and Person-Centered Thinking
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including ability to use keyboard and mouse
  • Experience with monitoring support delivery for people with disabilities
  • Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral, social science, or human service field
  • Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Intellectually Disabled Professional (QIDP)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral, social science or human service fields such as Special Education, Recreation Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or Social Work
  • Experience with monitoring support delivery for people with disabilities required. Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience.
