About This Role

Manage a residential school program by coaching and supervising Direct Support Professionals, ensuring a person-centered approach that promotes independence and complies with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate good role model behavior while working with individuals in behavioral, medical, educational, and social situations
  • Hire, train, and supervise Direct Support Professionals
  • Author, supervise, and assist with the implementation of all service plans
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, monthly employee meetings, annual reviews, and employee performance reports
  • Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with family members, advocates, legal guardians, and other treatment team members
  • Manage scheduling, staff coverage, time off requests, and electronic submission of approved staff time sheets
  • Follow all 633/624/625 regulations, Incident Reporting, investigation process, IRMA entry, follow up and completion of recommendations
  • Coordinate and record fire drills and accompanying fire alarm inspections and training
  • Maintain house records related to visitation, appointments, progress and medical notes, goal data, behavior data and finances/budget
  • Participate in a department wide on call schedule providing coverage and oversight
  • Complete residence safety inspections as required and inform maintenance of needed repairs

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • 1+ year supervisory experience
  • Completion of Springbrook Manager Training Program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to lift 50lbs independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50lbs
  • Meet requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles
  • Ability to perform all physical interventions

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory experience.
