About This Role

This role involves leading and directing the project management team responsible for residential lighting, shading, and controls projects. The Director ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting high-quality standards while driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the project management team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with company strategy
  • Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize project delivery processes
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all residential lighting, shading and controls projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project design, lighting design, installation, and business development, to define project requirements
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including customers, executive leadership, and sales team members
  • Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential obstacles and developing mitigation strategies
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the project management team
  • Mentor and coach project managers and team members, providing guidance and support for professional development
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in residential lighting, shading, controls and project management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in project management
  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex luxury residential projects from initiation to completion
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience working in lighting industry or a related field
