About This Role

Chippewa Valley Technical College is establishing a pool of qualified candidates for adjunct and substitute Residential Construction instructors. The role involves planning and instructing courses, delivering high-quality instruction, and promoting student success.

Responsibilities

  • Plan for and instruct courses in Residential Construction
  • Implement relevant and progressive curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality instruction through effective learning strategies
  • Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant occupational area (Associate's degree may be considered if other knowledge, skills, and abilities are present)
  • Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in the target job for the program being taught, with at least 1 year (2,000 hours) within 5 years prior to date of hire
  • Qualified per CVTC requirements and meet/maintain HLC, FQAS, and/or other job specific licensing standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an area preparing a person for the occupational area being taught
  • 2+ years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in the target job, with at least 1 year (2,000 hours) within 5 years prior to hire. 1 year of recent related experience may be waived with 2 years post-secondary teaching experience.
