Relief Sales Representative

About This Role

This Relief Sales Representative position assists the sales team by servicing Summit Beverage customers, selling products, and managing sales, distribution, placement, and merchandising in retail accounts. The role involves covering team member routes, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with company standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pre-plan sales objectives and run routes efficiently, calling on accounts according to established frequency
• Inspect work and work back stock for proper pricing, rotation, and positioning, performing merchandising duties as required
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s product quality assurance standards (outdated, damaged, un-sellable, etc.)
• Maintain sufficient inventory levels and account receivable collections for each assigned account
• Deliver factual and persuasive sales presentations and effectively close sales calls
• Document and maintain accurate records (route books, re-cap forms, etc.) and customer logs for profiling needs
• Meet or exceed sales volume, profitability, and distribution goals
• Recommend and perform resets as needed and/or directed, and execute all ad features and displays
• Adhere to Company policies and procedures and learn Summit Beverage products
• Maintain valid Montana driver’s license and a good driving record, and do not abuse company equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of direct sales experience (beer and/or wine sales preferred)
• Valid Montana driver’s license and good driving record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 3-5 years of direct sales experience, preferably in beer/wine sales or a related industry, or 5+ years of industry-specific experience in beer/wine sales or related field
