About This Role

The Registered Nurse Senior assesses and diagnoses patient needs, develops individualized nursing plans, provides direct intervention, and evaluates care effectiveness within the Forensic Mental Health Program. This role also offers clinical oversight and leadership in establishing objectives.

Responsibilities

Assess and diagnose the needs of patients
Develop individualized nursing plans in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
Provide direct nursing intervention and/or delegate specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff
Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided during the shift
Provide clinical oversight of nursing processes and defined administrative functions
Provide leadership in establishing, facilitating, and implementing the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives

Requirements

Current Minnesota Registered Nurse licensure
Bachelor of Nursing with 2+ years RN experience OR Associate's/diploma in nursing with 3+ years RN experience
Valid driver's license

Qualifications

Bachelors of Nursing Degree OR Associate's degree or diploma in nursing
Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree, or three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse with an Associate's degree or diploma. Certification in an area of expertise equals one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience.
