Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provide direct patient care, direct and guide patient/family teaching, and maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
- Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit
- Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Nice to Have
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience
- Ventilator Management experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
