The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department works collaboratively within St. Mary's Health Care System to provide excellent patient care to a diverse patient population. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based and individualized care, facilitating aspects of the patient visit experience, and treating the whole person.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients in the Emergency Department (14-bed unit specializing in Cardiology and Stroke care)
- Develop, evaluate, and modify patient care plans
- Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to expertise
- Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame
- Provide care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, environment/technology, and other healthcare team members
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or equivalent
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or equivalent
- Prior experience preferred, new graduates considered
