Oversee Building Automation Systems (BAS) teams across multiple locations, ensuring high-quality project delivery and operational consistency. This role involves developing sales strategies, mentoring staff, and evaluating emerging technologies to enhance team success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Building Automation Systems (BAS) teams at each location
- Ensure high-quality design, engineering, programming, and commissioning of BAS projects
- Collaborate with locations to develop sales strategies and ensure operational consistency
- Partner with sales teams to identify and cultivate project and maintenance agreement opportunities
- Ensure team adherence to safety regulations, procedures, and best practices
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development support to team members
- Facilitate training and skill development for BAS engineers, programmers, and service personnel
- Manage employees across multiple locations, leading recruitment and hiring activities
- Ensure timely submissions, drawings, and engineering documents align with proposals and contracts
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles and customer requirements
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and strategies to enhance team success
- Collaborate with Controls Managers on developing sales strategies and with engineering companies to specify controls
- Assess sales goals for each location and develop plans based on market trends
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience in programming, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation and control systems
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Capability to work with precise standards of accuracy, make informed decisions, and comprehend technical data
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in programming, troubleshooting, and repairing building automation and control systems
Nice to Have
- Previous sales experience in building automation systems (BAS)
- Experience with Distech, LON, BACnet, Tridium, JCI, Carrier Controls, and Trane systems
