Regional Manager, Affordable Housing

About This Role

Oversee the operations of affordable housing communities, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing financial performance. This leadership role involves managing personnel, financial aspects, leasing strategies, and administrative oversight to achieve excellence in affordable housing management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Equal Housing Opportunity, Affirmative Fair Housing laws and LIHTC/Section 8 program requirements
• Monitor LIHTC applications, annual recertifications, and coordinate with regulatory agencies
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff
• Provide ongoing performance management, including counseling and corrective action
• Maximize net operating income through effective cost control and revenue optimization
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and forecasts
• Develop and implement annual marketing plans and leasing strategies
• Ensure leasing processes, documentation, and reporting systems are accurate and compliant
• Oversee emergency response procedures and conduct regular property inspections
• Manage property resources efficiently, including vendor selection and contract oversight

Requirements

• Strong LIHTC experience
• 3+ years of experience working with Atlanta Housing Authority and Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA)
• Prior experience as a Regional Manager in affordable housing
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements
• Proficiency in property management software and basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
• 3+ years of experience working with Atlanta Housing Authority and Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA); prior experience as a Regional Manager in affordable housing
