The Regional Director of Clinical Operations (RN) at St. Croix Hospice oversees and coordinates all direct and indirect patient services, focusing on improving hospice care quality and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel
- Participate in operational planning and budgeting
- Provide guidance and counseling to coordinators and Managers of Clinical Services to improve hospice care services
- Assist Manager of Clinical Services in managing clinical teams and planning
- Provide help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care to all clinical personnel
- Assist the Chief Clinical Officer in the preparation and administration of the organization's budget
- Interpret operational indicators to detect census changes and impacts on staffing, revenues, or expenses
- Evaluate performance of the Manager of Clinical Services
- Assist the Manager of Clinical Services to develop skills and techniques in evaluating the performance of clinicians
- Hire, evaluate, and terminate organization personnel
- Oversee the maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting
- Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Develop, implement and evaluate the orientation program for new organization personnel
- Plan and implement inservice and continuing education programs to meet education and training needs of organization personnel
- Assure the quality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the organization
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and CHAP standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program strongly preferred, Master’s degree preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing
