This role will support complex infrastructure projects by providing detailed construction scheduling expertise. The Regional Construction Scheduler will report to the Senior Construction Manager and ensure project timelines are met through rigorous schedule analysis and communication with project teams.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Senior Construction Manager of Scheduling and Estimating and provide schedule-related reports for upper management
- Assist in the supervision of Project Schedulers and interface with Senior Project Managers and site staff related to CPM schedules
- Independently interpret and read detailed construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, etc.)
- Review Contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules and identify missing scope, logic, milestones, and critical path issues
- Review multiple Contractor P6 Monthly schedule updates and provide written schedule review comments
- Perform schedule Time Impact Analysis using the method of Windows Analysis
- Determine if work is in or out of scope based on drawings and understand contract terms for time extensions
- Effectively communicate with the project team regarding schedule/progress related issues at regular meetings
- Develop, maintain, and update various program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects
- Perform status updates for Program Schedules/Master Schedules on a regular basis
- Ensure proper use of Program-level standard codes, layouts and reports for data integrity
- Prepare reports as needed and directed by Senior Management
- Visit construction sites, attend meetings, and check Contractor’s monthly schedule progress
Requirements
- 10+ years professional experience in Construction Scheduling
- Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational and planning skills
- Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
- Understanding of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering, scheduling and schedule forensics
- Ability to independently interpret and read detailed construction drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or any related field OR Bachelor’s degree in any course with additional four (4) years of experience in construction scheduling
- Minimum ten (10) years full time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
