About This Role

The Real Estate Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new retail store locations based on expansion strategies. This role involves negotiating lease contracts, managing external relationships, and ensuring optimal financial and technical conditions for potential stores.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for acquisition of potential stores in a specific region.
  • Researches, analyzes, and works the Real Estate market, pre-selects and presents potential store locations.
  • Negotiates with potential, external contract partners concerning prices, Lease contracts, and Technical conditions.
  • Oversees organizational needs (Logistics, Store Operations, Legal, Construction) and translates them into search and negotiation strategies.
  • Communicates internally with relevant departments like Store Operations, Legal, Finance, RE Support, and Construction.
  • Initiates, maintains, and expands contacts with external parties such as project developers and government.
  • Takes initiative and leads activities to successfully achieve targets.
  • Keeps up to date with market developments, competitors, and work field.
  • Observes everyday processes, procedures, and systems, providing input for improvements.

Requirements

  • Must work directly for a retailer
  • Must live in Charlotte
  • University work and thinking level in combination with a completed Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience negotiating Lease contracts and contract management
  • Sound written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Business Economics, Business administration, Law or specific Real Estate study)
  • 5+ years of proven experience within Retail and Real Estate
