Real Estate Associate Attorney

About This Role

This role is for an Associate Attorney specializing in real estate, focusing on commercial real estate transactions, leading diligence reviews, and managing deals for a law firm in Jacksonville.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate documents relating to acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and overall development work
• Conduct and manage due diligence, including title and survey review
• Assist in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing
• Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality reports and opinions
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members efficiently and professionally
• Support partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while managing day-to-day responsibilities independently
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development
• Stay informed of legal and regulatory changes impacting the firm’s clients

Requirements

• Admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for admission within 6 months of hire date
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school
• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities
• Strong academic background

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school
• 0-2 years of experience in backend development

Nice to Have

• Experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements, loan documents, and leases
• Top 20% of class preferred
• Experience in real estate, land use, construction, or corporate law
• Attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload
