RCM Customer Service Support Representative (Patient Customer Service)

About This Role

Join Labcorp's Patient Billing Customer Service department to resolve challenging patient billing issues, delivering exemplary customer experiences through innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Answer 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, doctor's offices, and private insurance carriers
• Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances
• Routinely utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone
• Maintain performance goals
• Become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1+ year work experience
• Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to perform successfully in a team environment
• Excellent organization skills
• Proficiency navigating multiple computer screens and applications
• Alpha-Numeric data entry proficiency
• Excellent communication skills
• Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second (for remote work)
• Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord (no Wi-Fi, mobile routers, or hotspots)
• Dedicated area to perform duties without interference
• Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1+ year work experience required

Nice to Have

• Previous work in medical billing, customer service, insurance claims, EOB, call center, fast paced environment
• Previous work in high volume calls environment with several computer windows open
• Previous interaction and communications with Patients regarding medical information
