Raw Materials Sampler

About This Role

This role involves sampling, inspecting, and physically testing incoming raw materials and packaging components in a manufacturing facility. The Raw Materials Sampler ensures compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, and internal guidelines, playing a vital role in patient safety and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow written instructions and specifications under GMP guidelines
• Interact with the shipping/receiving department in the facility warehouse
• Inspect all incoming raw material containers; verify accurate label information, lot numbers and associated paperwork
• Enter sample information into a logbook, ensuring good documentation practices
• Sample incoming raw materials by physically removing a representative sample from selected containers, detecting off-color specification, particle size, and appearance
• Test for physical measurement of Packaging Components and specific Identification tests of various Raw Materials
• Prepare sample label(s) and deliver sample(s) to the Quality Control Laboratory
• File and maintain Raw Material retain samples
• Prepare Analytical and sampling report forms

Requirements

• High School education
• Ability to follow written instructions and specifications under GMP guidelines
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to differentiate color, having 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses

Qualifications

• High School education is required, preferably with some college course work in related sciences

• Some college coursework in related sciences
