About This Role

Drive sales and achieve territory growth for a rare neurological sleep disorder therapeutic option. This role involves educating healthcare providers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure patient access.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and territory growth through effective execution of sales strategies and tactics
  • Collaborate with regional business leaders and cross-functional teams to educate healthcare providers (HCPs)
  • Build impactful relationships with targeted HCPs and accounts within a geographic territory
  • Generate demand for new therapeutic options by providing clinical information and in-depth product knowledge
  • Demonstrate urgency to drive results and achieve strong performance by delivering a high level of sales effort
  • Implement sales and marketing plans, leveraging strong selling skills to achieve sales goals
  • Strategically analyze local, regional, and national business trends and apply data to assess opportunities
  • Manage a territory budget consistent with Takeda compliance policies
  • Exemplify Takeda’s patient-first values and commitment to upholding high standards of customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA)
  • 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device and/or relevant clinical or industry experience (or 2+ years at Takeda)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to navigate complex selling environments and influence decision makers
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills
  • Demonstrated territory planning, strategic account management and prioritization skills
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work within a matrix of cross-functional partners
  • Understanding of payer access and reimbursement at territory, regional, and state levels
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and customer needs
  • Demonstrated learning agility with ability to successfully develop and compliantly apply clinical expertise and selling skills
  • Must reside within the territory or within close proximity to assigned geography

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree – BS/BA
  • 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device and/or relevant clinical or industry experience; OR 2+ years of successful selling experience at Takeda

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in rare disease or sleep disorders
  • Sales experience with pharmaceutical or biologic products requiring coordination with patient and market access teams
  • Relevant clinical or industry experience
  • Consultative / needs-based selling skills
  • Experience working in a highly regulated marketplace
  • Adept at leveraging emerging technologies, digital tools, and openness to AI-enabled processes
