This role involves designing and verifying FPGA digital logic for aviation radar processing systems. The engineer will perform architectural roles, support trade-off analyses of radar/DSP algorithms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform FPGA architectural role for multi-FPGA radar processing systems
- Support trade-off analyses of radar / DSP algorithm implementation options
- Support FPGA part selection and system partitioning
- Create, debug, and verify FPGA-based designs
- Support FPGA design certification activities (DO-254)
- Collaborate effectively with other FPGA design team members
- Collaborate effectively with team members from hardware, software, and other technical disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with a complicated schematic and PCB design consisting of one or more PCB’s
- Broad technical knowledge and skills in one or more areas of Electrical Engineering (e.g., analog, digital, RF, and/or DSP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Nice to Have
- Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5
- Extensive circuit design experience for consumer or aviation products
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital logic design
- Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following: radar, radio, DSP
- Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team
- Significant FPGA design experience
- Strong working knowledge & experience of radar processing and DSP
