About This Role

This Quality Technician Level 2 position is responsible for testing and processing incoming raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. The role also involves preparing micro samples, reviewing production documentation, and providing technical support for problem-solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Test and process incoming raw materials, in-process and finished mixes, and finished products
  • Prepare and submit micro samples to third-party labs for testing
  • Review labels and production documentation for accuracy
  • Communicate and document quality requirements
  • Record evaluation results and calculate fill weight specification
  • Identify and hold nonconforming products
  • Provide technical support in resolving problems and improving processes
  • Properly and accurately perform physical, chemical, and analytical testing in accordance with established SOPs
  • Perform production line start-up checks when required
  • Perform environmental micro swabbing
  • Develop and/or update quality standards and documents
  • Interpret test results against quality requirements and determine acceptability
  • Interpret and follow reference documentation, such as specifications and SOPs
  • Provide guidance to others in the understanding of quality requirements
  • Execute required tasks to facilitate the efficient flow of work and information through the QC laboratory
  • Effectively communicate quality information both verbally and in written form
  • Accurately record and file quality data and reports
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
  • Accurately perform audits of products, processes, and systems
  • Actively participate in nonconformance investigations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area
  • Comply with all required PPE
  • Follow all Company safety rules/procedures and abide by all Company policies

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to effectively communicate (speak, read, and write) in English
  • Four-year degree in a technical discipline OR a high school diploma with 3-5 years of prior experience and/or demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in a quality or technical role incorporating sound decision-making/judgment skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Data entry and functional experience using an ERP or similar system

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in a technical discipline and/or a high school diploma with 3-5 years of prior experience
  • 3-5 years of prior experience and/or demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in a quality or technical role
