QC Physical Lab Technician I

About This Role

Perform physical and organoleptic testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products as a QC Physical Lab Technician I for the 3rd shift in Sparks, NV. You will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, accurately recording results, and initiating investigations for out-of-specification samples.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from the TC sample collection area
• Receive and collect samples in the LIMS system
• Perform physical and organoleptic testing on various materials and samples
• Record and compare results to specifications and perform secondary reviews
• Initiate OOS investigations for samples not meeting specifications or atypical from historical trends
• Operate various lab equipment including pH meter, FTIR, NIR, and automatic tablet tester
• Accurately enter laboratory test results into worksheets, Excel, LIMS, and Access database
• Accurately maintain daily logs and equipment logbooks
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Perform retest and/or root cause analysis for any samples in OOS

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years laboratory experience
• Familiarity with general laboratory equipment
