QA Engineer Intern

About This Role

The QA Engineer Intern will contribute to quality assurance efforts, create test automation scripts, and perform research, while also dedicating time to an individual project to be presented to Tech Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Attend team meetings
• Perform research
• Create test automation scripts and log defects
• Provide administrative support to their supervisor and teammates

Requirements

• Junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or closely related field
• Able to commit to a part-time (20 hours per week) work schedule
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn
• Confident to take initiative and collaborate with teammates
• Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
• Basic programming experience in Java or Python
• Working knowledge of VS Code or similar IDE, and basic understanding of version control (Git)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
• Basic understanding of big data concepts (ETL, data pipelines, data warehouses)
• Exposure to or interest in using Gen AI tools to improve testing, automation, or analysis workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a closely related field

Nice to Have

• Basic awareness or familiarity with Databricks
• Familiarity with common data formats such as CSV, JSON, or Parquet
• Exposure to testing tools and bug tracking systems such as Jira
