About This Role

This role involves leading the development and implementation of quality assurance and testing programs for enterprise computing platforms and system development efforts, with a focus on AWS services and modern software development technologies. The successful candidate will create automated tests, track defects, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure product software and infrastructure quality prior to launch.

Responsibilities

  • Create tests that identify issues with product software and infrastructure in advance of product launch
  • Develop test strategies and plans
  • Develop and execute tests and test data
  • Automate testing activities and integrate test automations into CI/CD Pipeline tools (Github Actions, Code Fresh) and DevSecOps processes
  • Track and report software defects and defect resolution
  • Perform root cause analysis of identified defects
  • Develop and maintain test and test result documentation
  • Support testing activities across the entire software development lifecycle (integration, system, performance, regression, user acceptance, disaster recovery, end-to-end testing)
  • Perform manual and automated testing, documentation, and recreation and validation of issues or defects
  • Plan and track tests, test results, and defects in Jira
  • Conduct application testing using Selenium and Apache JMeter
  • Test software products and cloud infrastructure configurations, identifying deficiencies and suggesting solutions
  • Plan, create, and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
  • Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest improvements
  • Oversee continuous improvement projects
  • Prepare and present quality assurance and testing reports and presentations
  • Proficiently and predictably plan, automate, and execute testing strategies for AWS cloud infrastructure services and application workloads

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a quality assurance or testing role supporting enterprise computing platforms and system development efforts
  • Expertise developing and implementing quality assurance and testing programs for workloads implemented with AWS services and software development technologies
  • 3+ years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for workloads that deploy on AWS
  • Ability to expertly perform manual & automated testing, documentation, and recreation and validation of issues or defects reported by end users
  • Experience planning and tracking tests, test results, and defects in Jira
  • Ability to proficiently perform application testing using Selenium and the Apache JMeter load testing tool
  • Proven ability to productively work remotely and collaborate, mentor, help, and support other team members to solve complex technical problems
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, team player, good time-management skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a sense of ownership and pride in performance
  • Proven ability to test software products and cloud infrastructure configurations and identifying deficiencies; suggest solutions to identified product problems; plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy; collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution; identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement; oversee continuous improvement projects; prepare and present quality assurance and testing reports, presentations, and information; and adhere to deadlines and communicate status and progress
  • In-depth understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles experience, experienced Agile practitioner with proven ability to plan and implement software products with agility
  • Familiarity and ability to test and validate workload conformance with the AWS Well Architected Framework design principals
  • US Citizenship or Green card is required for security clearance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a quality assurance or testing role supporting enterprise computing platforms and system development efforts; 3+ years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for workloads that deploy on AWS

  • Certification: AWS Certified Developer
  • Certification: AWS Certified AWS Solution Architect
  • Experience working with Python/Django web-based applications
  • Experience conducting penetration and load testing on the AWS Cloud
  • Experience working with the Playwright end-to-end test framework
  • Experience in configuring monitoring and alerting in Sentry
  • Knowledge of 508 testing standards and requirements
