The Purchasing Coordinator assists with ordering and sourcing materials, supplies, labor, and equipment, and ensures timely follow-through with vendors on shipments and deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Review glass lists and custom hardware requisitions for inconsistencies with shop drawings
- Place orders for project-specific components (glass, hardware, etc.) with vendors
- Place orders for inventory items
- Review vendor quotes for accuracy
- Establish delivery schedule for all orders placed
- Communicate delivery dates and other details with internal personnel
- Liaise with internal teams to understand project requirements and coordinate delivery dates and times
- Place re-orders as required
- Handle returns and credits with suppliers
- Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
- Track orders and follow up with vendors as necessary to ensure timely delivery
- Assist receiving and accounting to solve discrepancies on invoices and packing lists
- Maintain log of re-order tracking reasons, cost, and party responsible
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in supply chain coordination
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
- 2 years’ experience in supply chain coordination
