PT Maintenance Support Worker, Custodian

About This Role

This role involves performing a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks to ensure the college campus facilities are clean, functional, and well-maintained. The position supports the trades department within Facilities Management by completing cleaning and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including cleaning dorm rooms and bathrooms, washing windows, waxing floors, moving furniture, and shampooing carpets.
• Conduct HVAC duties such as replacing electric motors, cleaning coils, repairing and reinstalling grills, and verifying thermostat operation.
• Execute electrician duties like cleaning substations and mechanical rooms, testing and repairing lights and signs, and replacing ballasts and batteries.
• Undertake carpenter duties including patching walls, painting, recoating/patching roofs, replacing bathroom fixtures, and patching flooring.
• Perform groundskeeping duties such as trimming trees, mowing lawns, sweeping parking lots, picking up trash, and assisting with concrete repairs.
• Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience or higher in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or other related mechanical trades
• Arizona Driver’s License or Equivalent
