About This Role

Provide psychological and psycho-educational evaluations for clients, develop individual recommendations, and supervise graduate student trainees within the ABLE Clinic at the SALT Center. This role supports undergraduates with learning and attention differences at the University of Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct billable services through psychological, psycho-educational, and neurodevelopmental evaluations for clients referred to the assessment clinic
  • Perform all aspects of psychological, psychoeducational, neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and other types of assessments for children and young adults, including clinical interviewing, assessment, interpretation, and actionable feedback
  • Develop appropriate individual and family recommendations for clients and coordinate with relevant community resources
  • Supervise graduate student trainees (externs and interns)
  • Conduct occasional psychotherapy intervention and risk assessments for students enrolled in the SALT Center and/or other UA students

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or School Psychology
  • State of Arizona licensed
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Nuanced understanding of current trends in autism and neurodivergent assessment practices
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in assessments and diagnostic criteria for children, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, and other psychological and neurodevelopmental diagnoses

Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or School Psychology
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Nice to Have

  • Previous supervision experience
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults and their families
  • AZ School Psychology Certification or Nationally Certified School Psychologist credentials
