About This Role

Serve as a Psychiatrist on the U.S. Army healthcare team, providing diagnoses and treatments to support the readiness of military personnel and improve the lives of Soldiers and their families. Utilize innovative technologies and treatments at world-class medical facilities, contributing to the field of psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Support the readiness of military efforts through psychiatric diagnoses and treatments
• Improve the lives of Soldiers and their families through mental healthcare
• Work with innovative technologies and treatments in the industry
• Practice at world-class medical facilities
• Participate in humanitarian missions
• Engage in leadership training
• Expand the boundaries of psychiatry

Requirements

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
• Completion of a training program in psychiatry or residency in the U.S.
• Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
• U.S. citizenship

Qualifications
