This Project Manager will oversee and coordinate solar and land development projects from concept to completion, providing technical expertise and leadership. They will collaborate with stakeholders, manage project timelines and budgets, and mentor engineering staff to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team lead/senior engineer to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Develop comprehensive project plans for clients and staff, resolving conflicts and ensuring adherence to schedules
- Identify and communicate resource sharing issues and conflicts to the team lead
- Track key deadlines and communicate critical path items to the project team
- Adhere to project budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures
- Prepare correspondence, proposals, change orders, and project-related documents
- Manage project paperwork, ensuring all materials are current and properly filed
- Research project location, jurisdictions, fees, proposals, reports, and submittal requirements
- Track project performance to analyze the completion of short- and long-term goals
- Provide support and/or supervise concurrent projects, ensuring workflow stays on track
- Approve client billing and secure contract amendments for scope changes and fees
- Plan and organize project team activities with assistance from the team lead
- Develop working relationships with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and relevant agencies
- Provide accurate designs for solar and/or renewable energy projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater treatment
- Develop working drawings for civil design plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prepare civil engineering calculations, SWPPPs, and other engineering reports
- Conduct construction cost estimating
- Understand and produce entitlements/planning documents
- Manage construction processes
- Understand surveying basics, including topographic and boundary surveys
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in land development and/or renewable energies
- 5+ years’ experience as a project manager or assistant project manager
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Internet
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Bluebeam
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent level of experience
- 5+ years of experience in land development and/or renewable energies, and 5+ years' experience as a project manager or assistant project manager
