Project Manager (Drywall)

About This Role

Manage all phases of drywall and interior systems construction projects from award to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with various stakeholders, oversee project staff, and ensure compliance with regulations in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of drywall and interior systems projects from award through final completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, and consultants
• Oversee project superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders
• Procure materials and ensure timely deliveries in coordination with field teams
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues related to scope, schedule, or cost
• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, union requirements, and site safety regulations
• Conduct regular job site meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, and closeout documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management
• Strong background in drywall, framing, ceilings, and interior systems
• Experience managing commercial projects in New York City
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and cost management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field of study
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management
