Program Director - New Family Medicine Residency Program

About This Role

Lead and develop the new Family Medicine Residency Program at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, impacting the community by training future physicians and advancing high standards of care. This role combines clinical practice, leadership, teaching, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the Family Medicine Residency Program, ensuring a supportive and effective educational environment
• Ensure resident development in all ACGME competency standards
• Engage in clinical practice (initially with consulting, then as 0.5 FTE Program Director)
• Lead and develop a new Graduate Medical Education program in Florida
• Train the next generation of physicians

Requirements

• Board certification by ABFM/AOBFM, with specialty expertise
• 3+ years experience in an FM residency program Core Faculty, Associate Program Director, or Program Director role
• Proven track record in educational and/or administrative roles
• 3+ years of recent documented experience in an accredited GME program
• Demonstrated leadership skills as an educator and clinician
• Recent history of scholarly activities or research
• Strong communication abilities
• Commitment to collaborative, high-quality care

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an FM residency program Core Faculty, Associate Program Director, or Program Director, with a proven track record. Minimum of 3 years of recent documented experience in an accredited GME program.
