This role is responsible for creating and maintaining the plant production schedule, coordinating activities between customer service and production, and ensuring on-time delivery of products. This position plays a crucial role in optimizing production flow and managing material availability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Plant production schedule
- Process paperwork for the production areas
- Actively participate in daily Operations meetings
- Act as the primary liaison between customer service and production
- Synchronize production schedules between departments
- Identify and escalate any material shortfalls
- Communicate with purchasing regarding new customer orders and production schedules
- Acknowledge new orders to customer service within established time frames
- Monitor Safety Stock levels as required
- Engineer, adjust, and release production jobs, including setting quantities and completion dates
- Use the ERP system to adjust and confirm production schedules for each area
- Coordinate with Material Handling to ensure raw materials are staged
- Communicate schedule adjustments with Production Supervisor and Team Leads
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to achieve on-time delivery
- Evaluate production schedules and communicate forecasted sales figures to management
- Execute daily finished goods to stock transfers
Requirements
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of quality system procedures and work instructions
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years manufacturing experience desired
