Production Manager/CNC Programmer

About This Role

Lead the Dacula operations by directing and coordinating daily activities of the distribution warehouse and production, ensuring customer quality and delivery expectations are met for a leading performance plastics distributor.

Responsibilities

• Schedule the workflow of materials and customer orders throughout the process to meet quality and delivery expectations
• Coordinate daily with production and sales team to plan activities within the operation to meet required objectives
• Ensure all cut jobs have accurate cutting schedules and utilize remnant inventory to maximize yields
• Train team on the proper use of the cut optimizer program
• Ensure orders are processed in the proper sequence based on due dates and method of shipment/pick-up
• Review bills of lading for incoming material and sales orders to plan work activities
• Maintain and direct quality and safety procedures and requirements for warehouse and fabrication operations
• Control costs in warehouse and fabrication operations by minimizing waste and purchasing supplies from competitive suppliers
• Hold regular staff meetings to review key operational metrics, achievement of company goals, and other issues

Requirements

• 2 years minimum of warehouse supervisory experience
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a production warehouse environment
• Ability to establish priorities and multi-task
• Proficiency in measurements
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a production warehouse environment, preferably experience doing CNC Machinist work and familiar with cutting tools

Nice to Have

• Experience doing CNC Machinist work
• Familiarity with cutting tools, such as saw machinery
• Forklift/pallet jack experience or certification
