Production Handler

About This Role

This role is responsible for the handling and movement of all production-related materials within the shop floor, including shipping/receiving and dock functions. The Production Handler will coordinate material movement, maintain inventory records, and support overall production and operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with floor supervisor and production control to stage and move material to appropriate assets for production.
• Deliver raw and customer-owned material to stock locations and process stock moves.
• Move material to and from any machines in the plant.
• Pick up recycled material and scrap from various locations and dispose as required.
• Operate loading and unloading equipment for the mills.
• Fill out paperwork completely and accurately.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock tags and NCR tags.
• Assist in 5S and organizational tasks to keep the shop in order.
• Assist in shipping and receiving duties as needed.
• Provide support to Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Production Supervisors on all production assignments.
• Move material between buildings for shipping purposes.
• Load and unload trucks to assist in timely dock operations.
• Keep supervisor apprised of unresolved or potential problems affecting production schedules.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions for timely transactions.
