Product Development Associate

About This Role

Assist with the end-to-end product development process for cold weather accessories, from design briefs and trend research to sample review and vendor coordination. Collaborate with internal and overseas teams to ensure timely product launches for a global customer base.

Responsibilities

• Create design briefs for new products for the design team to CAD
• Review and provide comments on samples received, approving or requesting updates as needed
• Suggest new styles, updates, and evolutions of best-selling products
• Conduct in-store and online trend research to stay current with existing collections and gather ideas for future designs
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Prioritize completing projects to meet deadlines
• Communicate clearly and concisely with overseas teams to compile item-specific information
• Proactively anticipate when deadlines cannot be met and brainstorm solutions
• Liaise with internal teams (product development, sales, etc.) to ensure all project actions meet production schedule deadlines
• Follow up with vendors for sample tracking and PP/TOP sample approvals
• Coordinate with internal teams on sample approvals and status

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in the creative industry
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience working with high SKU count
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Familiarity working with overseas teams
• Team player

Qualifications

• Degree level education preferable but not essential
• 2+ years’ experience in the creative industry

• CAD/PLM skills
