This Procurement Program Manager role is critical in building, maturing, and scaling the supply base for Copeland's next generation of strategic platforms, ensuring new suppliers are identified, qualified, and ramped effectively to support aggressive program timeliness and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier onboarding and ramp-up activities for new strategic platforms
- Manage program timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation plans related to supplier performance and sourcing deliverables
- Partner with engineering and operations to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier capability needs
- Facilitate cross-functional program reviews, escalating risks and driving resolution to keep programs on track
- Identify, assess, and develop suppliers to support emerging technologies and long-term strategic platforms
- Conduct capability assessments and maturity evaluations to ensure suppliers can meet evolving technical and operational requirements
- Contribute to sourcing strategies for new programs, including make vs buy analysis, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations
- Identify supplier risks early in the program lifecycle and lead mitigation planning
- Maintain program dashboards, supplier readiness metrics, and executive-level reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business or related field
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, supplier development, program management, or NPI sourcing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier capability assessment, and supply chain risk management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-phase programs
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business or related field
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, supplier development, program management, or NPI sourcing
Nice to Have
- Experienced with supplier ramp-ups, new product introductions, or strategic platform launches
- Experience in Commodities such as Castings, Steel, Stampings, Plastics
- PMP certification
