Procurement Manager

About This Role

Manage procurement and inventory processes, focusing on best practices and continuous improvement, for a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings. Lead a team of buyers and collaborate with global operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide results-driven leadership in procurement and inventory management
• Manage material flow, inventory control, and accuracy
• Develop and manage supplier relationships
• Supervise and motivate a team of buyers/procurement specialists
• Analyze customer demand and historical material usage for production plans
• Leverage metrics to drive departmental performance
• Implement methods and best practices for inventory forecasting, procurement, and material control
• Manage an inventory control system with reporting capabilities and cycle count accuracy
• Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet growth requirements
• Identify supplier sources, conduct interviews, negotiate agreements, and manage contracts
• Evaluate, monitor, and report supplier scorecard performance
• Promote continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
• Collaborate with Global Operational Excellence team on global initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Or Related Field Preferred
