Private Markets Analyst

About This Role

This role is for an independent contract Private Markets Analyst on the Initio Sphere platform, focusing on financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and investment support for live deals across private markets, with earning potential based on certification and performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial modeling and valuation, including 3-statement financial models, commercial real estate underwriting, DCF/LBO modeling, sensitivity and scenario analysis, and comparable company/precedent transaction analysis.
• Conduct due diligence and investment support, such as Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis, commercial and operational diligence, and risk assessment.
• Contribute to investment memo support.
• Gain promotion and visibility within the Initio Sphere platform.
• Access real deal flow and paid analytical projects.
• Support investors, fund managers, and operators on live transactions.
• Build a verified deal track record and Analyst Rating Score.

Requirements

• Ability to score >=70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment OR Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training OR Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Qualifications

• Entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical performance; or 3-5 years of deal/modeling experience; or 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, senior consulting, or development.
