Principal Project Manager

About This Role

Lead and manage large-scale, complex IT projects for Exelon, a Fortune 200 energy leader. This role involves delivering critical technology initiatives, guiding diverse teams, and influencing strategic decisions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT projects and system integrators to deliver high-quality programs on time and within budget
• Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables, ensuring adherence to IT project management standards
• Collaborate with and influence stakeholders to apply standard processes, driving process improvement and sustainable performance levels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT partners, and vendors, communicating project status and escalating risks effectively
• Evaluate performance, coach IT personnel, and contribute to career development and succession planning

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in technical project management with a strong focus on IT projects
• Expertise in project cost and scope management, risk management, and resolving complex project issues
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and manage IT project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of experience in technical project management, with a strong focus on IT projects
