About This Role

Join our foundational team as a Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, ensuring exceptional service and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on gas, electric, water, and steam-powered commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients, explaining repair procedures, and offering solutions to minimize downtime
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used, and prepare and submit service reports and invoices promptly
  • Keep track of tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory, ordering and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Maintain truck stock to ensure required parts are available on company vehicle
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and training

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a satisfactory background screening
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
  • Dedicated to providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment

Nice to Have

  • Technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field
  • EPA 608 certification
  • CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) certification
