Join our foundational team as a Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, ensuring exceptional service and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on gas, electric, water, and steam-powered commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients, explaining repair procedures, and offering solutions to minimize downtime
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used, and prepare and submit service reports and invoices promptly
- Keep track of tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory, ordering and replenishing supplies as needed
- Maintain truck stock to ensure required parts are available on company vehicle
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and training
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a satisfactory background screening
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
- Dedicated to providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment
Nice to Have
- Technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field
- EPA 608 certification
- CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association) certification
