This is an executive role for a dynamic, visionary, and mission-driven President and CEO to lead a $25 million non-profit organization that improves the lives of people with disabilities and vulnerable children. The role involves guiding the organization through strategic growth, programmatic expansion, and community impact, while fostering internal trust and elevating community presence.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for WIHD
- Ensure alignment with WIHD's mission to advance health, education, and advocacy for people with disabilities and vulnerable children and their families
- Oversee organizational strategy, governance, operations, and financial sustainability
- Foster partnerships with community, government, and academic institutions
- Serve as WIHD’s primary representative in policy and public engagement
- Lead strategic growth and programmatic expansion
- Drive community impact and elevate community presence
- Fundraise and ensure financial stewardship
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MPH, MBA or equivalent) with credibility across academic, clinical, and community sectors
- Minimum of ten years of executive or senior level experience in non-profit administration
- Proven executive leadership in nonprofit, disability services, public health, or human services
- Demonstrated success in program expansion, fundraising, and financial stewardship
- Demonstrated academic productivity and qualifications for an academic appointment at New York Medical College
- Ability to build trust and gain the confidence of a diverse set of stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with a track record of innovation and resilience
- Deep understanding of populations served, including individuals with disabilities and vulnerable children
- Working knowledge of governmental and nongovernmental funding sources
Qualifications
