This role involves partnering with sales teams to identify customer needs, develop and present tailored technical solutions and proof of concepts, and manage technical responses for RFPs/RFIs. The Presales Manager will also liase with product and engineering teams, ensure solution feasibility, and provide internal training to sales reps.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to identify customer needs and tailor technical solutions and demonstrations
- Develop and present proof of concepts (POCs) that align with client requirements and best practice
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, ensuring accurate and persuasive technical responses
- Create and deliver solution presentations, technical workshops, and demos to stakeholders and decision-makers
- Liaise with Product and Engineering teams to convey client feedback, use cases, and feature requests
- Ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and align with customer infrastructure
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product developments
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for presales assets, including demo scripts, use case libraries, and architecture diagrams
- Support onboarding of new customers during handover from sales to delivery/implementation team
- Provide internal training to sales reps on new product features and technical selling points
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting (typically 5+ years)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage both technical and business audiences
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-centric mindset
- Hands-on experience with relevant technologies, platforms, or software stacks (e.g., cloud services, SaaS platforms, APIs)
- Thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 17+ Years of experience overall, with proven experience in presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting (typically 5+ years)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CRM and collaboration tools (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Confluence)
- Experience with scripting or light coding (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for POCs or integrations
