Supervise production line personnel in a poultry processing plant, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while optimizing productivity and maintaining customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage production lines/departments by establishing procedures to meet schedules and budget objectives
- Deploy and rotate personnel effectively to optimize efficiency and facilitate ergonomics
- Ensure accurate completion and recording of daily reports (departmental, attendance, yields)
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization (throughput, waste reduction, quality)
- Lead or participate in the planning and implementation of process improvements
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe and sanitary environment
- Mentor, coach, train, and cross-train employees, providing consistent feedback for career development
- Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly
- Follow and promote all safety initiatives, ensuring proper PPE usage to maintain a zero accident culture
- Work collaboratively with other departments/shifts to meet or exceed goals
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience within a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated one (1) years’ leadership experience
- Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree with relevant college course work preferred
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience within a manufacturing setting; three (3) years’ experience in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred. Demonstrated one (1) years’ leadership experience; three (3) years’ experience preferred.
