This postdoctoral position focuses on the chemical and enzymatic synthesis of base-modified RNA and XNA for applications in chemical biology and the development of RNA therapeutics within the Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry of Nucleic Acids research group.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and enzymatic synthesis of base-modified RNA and XNA
- Develop applications in chemical biology and RNA therapeutics
- Work in an international group of PhD students and postdocs
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree
- Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or chemical biology
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Creative practical lab experience
- Independence, accountability, and reliability
- Good communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with nucleotide and oligonucleotide synthesis and chemistry
