Post Closing Specialist

About This Role

The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for meticulously reviewing Consumer Home Equity Lines of Credit and Residential Mortgage loan documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external departments including Title Companies, Compliance, and County Recorder offices.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial, consumer, and Real Estate loan packages for booking, confirming all required documents and funds are acceptable and compliant
• Complete review checklists and address all issues to facilitate loan boarding to the Fiserve subservicing system
• Update Document Status Reports, indicating booking status or errors, and inform loan closers/processors of needed corrections
• Follow up on missing documents with county recorders and title companies
• Recognize errors and request corrections with Real Estate Lending, including missing loan endorsements from title companies
• Prepare files for scanning, final setup, and archiving of collateral files
• Prepare files for loan sales and assist the loan delivery department with shipment of loan files
• Update loan exceptions and assist in the creation, monitoring, and distribution of loan exception reports
• Assist in the review of perfected collateral and final title policy requirements
• Participate in scheduled or unscheduled audits or projects related to the loan closing process or department

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience
• Mortgage loan document knowledge
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Ability to input, extract, and read data
• Broad knowledge of real estate and/or mortgage loan servicing experience
• Detail oriented

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience with mortgage loan documents, real estate, and/or mortgage loan servicing.
