Provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and analytical support to Portfolio Managers, Investment Associates and Client Advisors, managing individual client, institutional, and trust portfolios. This role requires strong client service skills and analytical work within the financial markets.
Responsibilities
- Manage portfolio administrative functions including account opening/termination, billing review, and cash/maturity tracking
- Instruct custodians for fund transfers (wire funds, prepare checks)
- Implement mutual fund sales and determine instruments for cash raising
- Document and memorialize client meetings and communications
- Prepare customized client materials for reporting and meetings, and coordinate presentation delivery
- Coordinate with third parties like attorneys, accountants, and auditors as requested
- Review all reports for accuracy and collaborate with Operations for accurate client reporting
- Test new applications, updates, and system enhancements
- Proactively review clients' security holdings and daily transaction activity
- Work closely with trading, operations, and custodians to ensure accurate positions and asset values
- Answer investment-related questions for clients under supervision of Portfolio Manager or Investment Associate
- Work on special projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year of analytical experience in the financial sector
- Proven experience in a high-touch client service environment
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data analysis
- Highly organized, efficient, attentive to detail, and self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task independently and timely
- Team player with anticipation of portfolio management team needs
- Ability to use logic and reasoning for problem-solving
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years relevant experience, preferably 3-5 years of financial analysis in the investment industry, Private Wealth Management, or Portfolio Administration.
Nice to Have
- 3-5 years of financial analysis in investment industry experience in financial services, preferably in Private Wealth Management, Portfolio Administration
- College education and internships relating to Private Wealth Management
