Pool Manager

About This Role

The Seasonal Pool Manager will direct all operations of the Bobbie Greenwood Community Swim Center, ensuring a safe and positive experience for staff and the public. This role involves enforcing rules, performing rescues, managing staff, and overseeing facility maintenance and aquatic programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct all operations of pool facilities
• Ensure a safe and positive experience by enforcing all aquatic rules and regulations
• Render essential water rescue and safety procedures, including lifeguard skills, first aid, and CPR
• Responsible for the opening and closing of the pool facility
• Perform general ongoing maintenance of the facility to ensure premises are safe and clean
• Develops, implements, promotes, and oversees a variety of aquatics programs
• Provide leadership and supervision over all pool staff, including ongoing training and disciplinary action
• Create and manage weekly schedules for aquatic staff and approve time and attendance
• Routinely inspect and inventory all pool equipment to ensure safety and operability
• Prepare and maintain all required daily reports and records

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current certifications upon hire (Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid for Public Safety Title 22 recommended)
• Ability to work variable hours, including mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends
• Mandatory Reporter training completion within first two weeks of employment
• Fingerprint clearance
• Pass a TB skin test

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3-4 years of college preferred
• 3 years as a lifeguard/instructor, including working in swimming pool management

Nice to Have

• 3-4 years of college preferred
