Pool Attendant

About This Role

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the swimming pool area, assist guests with equipment, and enforce rules and regulations to ensure a pleasant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect money from guests upon entering the facility
• Maintain accurate attendance and concession sale records
• Give keys to guests for lockers
• Enforce pool rules and regulations
• Sell concessions to pool guests
• Keep the concession stand clean and orderly
• Maintain accurate inventory of concession items
• Hand out tubes and life jackets for the Lazy River area
• Monitor guests entering the waterslide area
• Submit weekly inventory requests
• Submit daily revenue and concession sales
• Provide courteous treatment of pool guests

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of rules, regulations, and policies pertaining to municipal pool operations
• Knowledge of equipment and safety precautions of aquatic activities
• Knowledge of basic mathematics for ticket and concession sales and inventory
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to calculate basic math functions
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
• Ability to accurately maintain records and prepare reports
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsible
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or currently enrolled
