The PM/Estimator will support heavy civil projects by developing accurate and competitive pricing, leveraging a strong civil construction background and 3+ years of estimating experience in mass excavation, earthwork, grading, and utilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform digital quantity takeoffs using industry software
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to define project scope
- Collaborate with other Project Managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors on pricing strategies
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy
- Support project handoff to operations teams
- Maintain historical cost and vendor data for future bids
Requirements
- 3+ years civil construction estimating experience
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, AGTEK, Trimble, or HCSS
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Vendor/client relationship management skills
- Solid understanding of grading and earthwork scopes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of civil construction estimating experience in mass excavation, earthwork, grading, and wet/dry utilities
Nice to Have
- Advanced AGTEK/Trimble or mass excavation software expertise
- Specialized grading/earthwork estimating experience
- Familiarity with Florida construction practices and subcontractors
