Plant Maintenance Mechanic - Industrial Electrician

About This Role

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic / Industrial Electrician will support the Corporate Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining machinery and electrical equipment for Buffalo Rock Company, an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery, plumbing, physical structure, and electrical wiring
• Troubleshoot using appropriate testing devices
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
• Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections for equipment
• Perform work at height with proper fall protection PPE
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repair or replace functional and structural parts in devices
• Start devices to test their performance
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Initiate purchase requests for parts and machines
• Observe operation of equipment to determine if problems with equipment or operator
• Follow Good Manufacturing Program (GMPs) and participate in Food Safety related training

Requirements

• At least three (3) Years of Manufacturing Maintenance Experience
• At least one (1) year of Industrial Electrician Experience
• Advanced ability in the repair and maintenance of machinery, plumbing, physical structure and electrical wiring
• Highly skilled at troubleshooting using appropriate testing devices
• Ability to run conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections for equipment
• Ability to perform work at height with proper fall protection PPE

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
• At least three (3) Years of Manufacturing Maintenance Experience, at least one (1) year of Industrial Electrician Experience
